Bick Law LLP is honored to join the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance (“LFAA”), a national collaborative of over one hundred law firms united in working to identify and dismantle structural or systemic racism in the law.
Through creating large-scale, cooperative pro bono projects and advocating for changes in policy and laws that perpetuate racial inequality, LFAA seeks to leverage “the resources of the private bar in partnership with legal services organizations to amplify the voices of communities and individuals oppressed by racism, to better use the law as a vehicle for change that benefits communities of color, and to promote racial equity in the law” (LFAA Charter). These projects shall be both immediate and long-term in scope.
LFAA member firms will contribute pro bono resources to initiatives aimed at systemic racism. Member firms also accept their responsibility to increase firm diversity, equitable access to opportunities and inclusion of people of color within their organizations.
Through strategic partnerships like the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance, Bick Law LLP hopes to be part of the progress toward equality of opportunity and breaking down barriers faced by under-represented group in environmental law.
